Nothing worse than leaving your child when he’s crying.

Recently, my son started to have attachment issues. He hasn’t shown many attachment problems ever since he started daycare. But last week, as I was leaving him at daycare, he started crying. He thought I was going to come to play with him and he didn’t want me to leave. He was very upset and they had trouble calming him down.

As it is nice to see that he relies on me, it also broke my heart to leave him there this way. Mom’s guilt is real. It brought some tears to my eyes when I got out. I have to tell myself that it is just a phase and he will soon understand.
